As exams loom closer, students' stress levels understandably increase. To try to minimise the stresses, on Thursday 20th March Year 11 students will be off timetable all day allowing them to work with a company called Learning Performance.
For several years we have used this company to deliver these sessions and have always had a very positive response from pupils. Comments such as ‘pure brilliance’, ‘excellent’, ‘I learned so much’ and ‘fantastic, very interesting and good to learn from’.
Pupils will need to bring pens, coloured pens and a highlighter pen as well as their usual pencil case. We hope your son/daughter enjoys the day and look forward to reading their feedback.
Please remember that the date for the deposit to be paid is Thursday 6th of March. To register your interest please visit www.outlookexpeditions.com and enter the Expedition Reference Number (ERN) 2015BSA06T1.
When final numbers are in I will contact you all to arrange a meeting to arrange teams and the next steps.
At the end of Year 9 you will have completed your Key Stage 3 National Curriculum courses. In Year 10 you will start Key Stage 4. Now is the time to consider which option courses you wish to study to GCSE examination level over the next two years.
You will need to think carefully about your choices. You will need to discuss your options with your parents. You might want to speak to a careers teacher in which case please see the Careers Coordinator Miss J Simpson. You can also access further information via the Careers Wales website www.careerswales.com and the options booklet .
